Term 1 is over. Here are some reflections that I have done. But before that, let's have some fun first!



Letter from Ankush to Mr. Bill Gates of Microsoft

Subject: Problems with my new computer


Dear Mr. Bill Gates,

We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

1. There is a button 'start' but there is no 'stop' button. We request you to check this.

2. We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friends clicked 'run' he ran up to Amritsar ! So, we request you to change that to 'sit', so that we can click that by sitting.

3. One doubt is whether any 're-scooter' is available in system? I find only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.

4. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this ' find' button, but was unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.

5. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft sentence', so when you will provide that?

6. I bought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon which shows 'MY Computer': when you will provide the remaining items?

7. It is surprising that windows says 'MY Pictures' but there is not even a single photo of mine. So when will you keep my photo in that.

8. There is 'MICROSOFT OFFICE' what about 'MICROSOFT HOME' since I use the PC at home only.

9. You provided 'My Recent Documents'. When you will provide 'My Past Documents'?

10. You provide 'My Network Places'. For God sake please do not provide 'My Secret Places'. I do not want to let my wife know where I go after my office hours.

Math
I am quite satisfied with my Math grades, a B3. I had always been expecting o attain a fail grade in Math, but some how, I didn't attain it. The only reason why I did not fail was because I was not careless. Had I been careless, I would entirely have flunked the paper! To revise, I can revise my file. I also can do some exercises from the textbook and workbook.

Chinese
I am very satisfied with my Chinese grades. I am only not satisfied because I lost 2 marks because of a careless mistake: writing one word wrongly. ~BEEP!~ I feel that if I want to improve this term, I would have to revise my Chinese texgbook weekly. Also, I must remain focused in Chinese lessons and do the homework daily.

Language Arts
Entirely unhappy with my Language Arts result. It was a total failure, the most unsatisfactory results for all 7 subjects. I feel that I had procasinated far too much and left my revision to the end. I also have some problem with the PEE structure as some times I go a little engrossed in answering the questions that I forget to answere in the PEE structure. I can practise writing more answers in the PEE structure. The questions could be self-though out.

IS (Infocommstudies)
Quite happy with my IS results. I had not liked the C++ programming software that we were thought in the IS lessons. To even achieve an A2 for it is already considered a great miracle to me.

IH (Intergrated Humanities)
I was generally happy with my IH results. Only that Mrs Ann goes to quickly in class and we never get to talk in her class. It was already amazing that I got 3 OP points from her!

LSS (Lower Secondary Science)
I had not revised for the Science test very much. I had not gone through my file which all questions came out from. To be able to get a B4 was already very good. TO do well for Science, I would have to revise on the file and also do exercises on Science. I would also have to read the Science textbook at least 5 times before go for any Science test.
